Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President of North American Sales located in the company's corporate headquarters in Chelmsford, Mass., the Tier 1 Wireless Carrier Sales Representative will ideally be based near one of the three major wireless providers (Cingular, Verizon Wireless, Sprint/Nextel) and will play a key role in Brix Networks' success in this market.
They are seeking a senior sales professional who has extensive experience selling sophisticated network management solutions at a very senior level to wireless carrier customers. Strategic selling and planning will be very important in this position. Highly developed organizational and people skills are also a must as you will be establishing and maintaining long-term, ongoing relationships with large, high-profile accounts. Knowledge of voice and data networking is required.
Major Responsibilities/Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following experiences and characteristics: a demonstrated history of successfully selling high- value networking solutions to wireless carriers in an emerging marketplace; a proven track record of managing complex sales situations to large organizations; a proven track record of exceeding commitments and revenue goals; the ability to express ideas that successfully influences the behavior and decisions of others; a solid technical foundation; and proficiency utilizing CRM tools, such as Salesforce.com.
Additional Requirements: The individual character traits they seek include strong determination and work ethic; enthusiasm and a team-player attitude; and proven ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with customers.
Background Required: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of sales and sales development experience in a high-tech environment. This position also requires familiarity with telecom/datacom technology coupled with a strong understanding of the overall networking market.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position, preferably in a technical discipline.
