Description:
Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) is looking for individuals who are qualified for the position of Systems Test Engineer.

Responsibilities:
Utilize requirements specifications, design documents while working alongside software developers to become knowledgeable on the solution features.
Develop thorough test plans and test cases in a timely and efficient manner.
Test software for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established standards.
Develop, write and execute manual and automated test scripts during system integration, user acceptance and regression testing phases of solution development.
Identify and document software defects found during testing using recommended tools.
Follow quality assurance standards, processes, and controls.
Provide User/Business Acceptance Testing support as required.
Provide necessary support to other testing team members as required to help deliver systems on schedule and with high quality
Perform application health checks to reduce errors in deployment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration or related field.
3+ years hands-on functional/system testing using industry standard automated test tools.
Experience in hands-on functional test development and execution for enterprise-class web-based application using multi-tiered application test environments
Hands-on, in-depth knowledge of software quality assurance/testing methodologies and practices including requirements traceability; test planning, design, and execution; and defect management.
Strong understanding of standard SDLC methodologies (knowledge of Rational Unified Process a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferably, the candidate has had software development experience and has worked on enterprise development projects employing multi-tiered architecture; he/she should have solid SQL skills and a very good grasp of database and data modeling concepts.
