RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imagi­native, thorough and practical
Leads peers and subordinates with positive attitude of accomplishment
Meets assigned task schedules and participates in overall quality review of own and other's work
Works under only very general direc­tion. Independently determines and develops approach to priorities. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives
Performs routine and special assignments in support of depart­mental objectives often functioning across disciplines and areas of exper­tise
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts as required. Provides solutions, discussions and status on normal business processes primarily in writing, and verbally and graphically as re­quired
Design SQA test plans for unit/functional, system, integration and performance testing based upon functional requirements and system design documentation. Develop solutions to very complex problems that require the use of ingenuity and creativity. Business problems are very complex and may require working knowledge of other related disciplines
Able to design and develop complex quality plans for robust systems using state-of-the-art technology and tools
Create test data, query database, and maintain test environment to test complex systems utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Applies advanced SQA principles, theories and concepts. Able to complete very complex tasks with very general supervision
Execute functional and integration tests according to plan without supervision. Execute volume and stress tests. Able to use SQL query language or job control language to execute tests. Perform regression testing when required. Utilize automated testing tools to improve productivity and quality of tests. Test vendor supplied packages, objects for reusable library repository, and database normalization
Analyze and document test results in a clear and precise manner using Test Director. Suggest system solutions and alternatives to improve performance, reliability, and overall quality
Coordinate user acceptance testing
Perform change control activities. Recommend process or quality improvements. Able to effectively use version control software
Able to multi-task concurrent projects
Understand Call Center basic business. Can understand the application of state-of-the-art technology to solve business issues. Actively participate in design reviews to promote quality and structured design methodology
Develop and execute test plans according to SQA standards. Ensure software applications adhere to development standards
Create task plans and time estimates for self and others. Track progress of medium to large-scale projects
Identifies best practices and contributes to the SQA methodology
As a member of a project team, perform assigned tasks as directed demonstrating a sense of urgency. Participate in overall quality review of own and other’s work. Perform work within budgeted times and on schedule
Provide emergency support to changes in the software to ensure business schedules are met
Maintain advanced SQA technical skills up-to-date through self-study, training classes and practical application of techniques on the job when appropriate
Perform special assignments in support of departmental objectives. Demonstrates good tactical critical thinking

REQUIREMENTS:

The SQA Analyst designs, creates, and executes quality plans for custom developed systems in accordance with SQA and software development standards. SQA Analyst is challenged with assuring the quality of complex systems in a short period of time, enforcing SQA and development standards, and mastering technical skills to handle very complex business issues. Leads medium complexity projects with general supervision.




Educational Requirements




BS in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.








Professional Experience / Qualifications




Wide application of Quality Assurance principles, theories and concepts in the field plus working knowledge of other related disciplines. Minimum of 2 years SQA experience required. Minimum of 3 years IT experience required.
