Asylum is looking for individuals who are qualified for the position of Pre-Sales Technical Specialist.

Key Duties:
- Assisting in identifying and developing sales prospects from a technical perspective.
- Providing effective support to sales teams in order to increase revenue and margins.
- Provide technical design of network solutions through definition of generic templates and through gathering and documenting unique complex customer requirements.
- Developing and reviewing relationships with customers and suppliers (both internal and external)
- Developing strong working relationships with channel partners' technical staff and key technical decision makers
- Developing strong working relationships with sales team by developing supporting tools, participating in the customer meetings, delivering technical training, technical demonstrations and trials for the sales team and customers
- Provision of ongoing training support for Channel Partners
- Provision of ordering, provisioning and installation support and process definition for Channel Partners during set-up phase
- Provision of ongoing project management services for complex Channel Partner projects, and implementing customer projects.
- Actively contributing to product development and new services development by developing excellent understanding of the company portfolio, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Develop an acute understanding of competitor capabilities and emerging technologies to help position Asylum Telecom at the forefront of the market
- Post sales support, where appropriate , for key customers
Key skills and experience required:
- IT/ Telecoms industry technical sales background
- IT / Telecoms industry project management experience
- IP ( Internet Protocol ) and LAN technology
- WAN, including xDSL
- Telephony ( PSTN, VPN )
- Enterprise network telephony (PBX, IP PBX)
- Voice over IP protocols and implementations
- Telecoms protocols and policies
- Graduate level education with appropriate professional qualification
- A strong understanding of technical pre sales issues, process and techniques
- A strong commercial awareness and understanding of the sales cycle
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in the IT or telecoms sector
- Experience of working in a highly commercial environment
- Highly motivated with a determination to succeed in achieving objectives
- Confident, independent personality
- Able to identify key issues and work with colleagues and business partners to resolve problems efficiently
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to assimilate complex information in a structured and coherent manner
- Logical thinker with determination to pursue issues to a satisfactory outcome
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Committed to a high quality output
- Good team player who is flexible and adaptable
- Commercially astute and entrepreneurial in nature
