RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Summary:
Provides customer service and technical support to customers’ inquiries and requests for assistance with the organization's computer systems or PC's. Identifies problems, troubleshoots and provides advice to assist users. Coordinates with other IS areas to resolve problems if necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Provide Tier 1 service or phone support to users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN Systems
2.To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
3.To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
4.Troubleshoot problems to resolution or escalate to Tier 2 support when necessary
5.Reset or configure network accounts access
6.Document problems and resolutions within the call tracking application and provide updates to the knowledge base where applicable
7.Configure and install software for end-users’ desktops and laptops remotely or over the phone
8.Process hardware and software requests by coordinating user setup, upgrades and installations
9.May perform end-user training as it regards assistance with supported applications
10.All other projects and duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Working Knowledge of User Account Management in Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge in Windows operating systems (2000, XP), Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)and desktop hardware/laptops required
- Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving and analytical ability, aptitude for customer service, able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- MCP certification preferred but not required
- A+ certification preferred but not required
