Responsibilities:
The role of an IT Trainer is to provide training and documentation on firm approved software to White & Case, LLP employees in support of their business objectives and assisting them to perform their jobs efficiently. In addition, an IT Trainer serves as a resource for documentation and expertise to all White & Case, LLP offices.
Duties and Accountabilities:
Design, develop, and deliver training programs and classes on firm approved software to all White & Case users in a variety of settings including the use of multimedia applications and/or through travel.
Develop training curriculums for new software and for upgrades to existing software.
Develop training exercises to enhance end user knowledge and measure course comprehension.
Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental training needs and objectives.
Create, administer, analyze, and report on end user needs assessments and skills assessments.
Develop and deliver courseware for new and existing software applications, including manuals and reference cards to enhance the learning experience.
Review training materials and documentation and keep them up to date.
Organize and communicate training schedules in consultation with departmental decision makers.
Establish and maintain training program databases to track training participants status and results.
Create and administer training event feedback mechanisms. Analyze results, make recommendations for training improvement, and integrate changes in curriculum and/or courses.
Test and proofread the work of colleagues.
Work with internal software developers, vendors, and other IT groups to keep apprised of changes and upcoming developments in in-house software applications.
Communicate software problems and issues to software development and support teams.
Requirements:
University degree or college diploma
2+ years direct work experience in a training department capacity, including all aspects of training development and execution.
Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, SoftWise, Deltaview, and Worksite.
Proven experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques.
Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software.
Experience with building and maintaining course and participant databases.
Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude.
Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts, as well as software issues.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Highly self motivated and directed.
Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Very strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
