Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Reviews and analyses the monthly reconciliation statements prepared by the financial analyst which include the bank recon and inter-firm recon (both for 7xxx & 5xxx account series). Ensures recording of necessary adjustments for identified reconciling items.
Supervises the maintenance of the corporate books of accounts (such as Cash Disbursements Book, Cash Receipts Book, General Journal and General Ledger) needed for statutory reporting.
Performs monthly reconciliation of trial balance per local and IFD records.
Oversees the updating of schedules for advances to employees, fixed assets and other financial statement supporting schedules &/or analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis performed by the financial analyst.
Closely coordinate with external auditors in relation to year-end external audit. Prepare the draft trial balance for statutory reporting to be reviewed by the Finance Manager.
Attends to financial information requests of the Finance Manager.
Payroll Processing
Coordinates with external payroll administrator for the efficient processing of payroll. Checks payroll entries prior to uploading into Elite.
Together with HR, attends on a timely basis the payroll-related queries and concerns by employees.
Tax Planning and Management
Reviews BIR tax filing & remittances (for Income Tax Return & VAT Return) and PEZA reportorial requirements. Supervises the preparation of financial statements (particularly the Income Statement) on monthly and quarterly basis.
Financial Planning
Coordinates with the department heads for the preparation of the annual budget. On a monthly basis, prepares latest forecast using latest actual figures.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
With at least 2 years supervisory experience, preferably handled interfirm recon and financial statement & budget preparation.
A CPA who is proficient in the use of Accounting Software.
With good communication and analytical skills
Team player and has a good eye for details
Acute sense of professionalism
Strong sense of urgency
With very good interpersonal and cusotmer service skills
