Coastal Training Technologies Corporation is looking for individuals who are qualified for the position of Database Administrator-Web Developer.

Responsibilities:
Track and maintain work requests assigned by Internal Application Support Manager
Assist team members and development team when technical expertise is needed
Apply both application and database changes from the development teams to production environments for external-facing
Administer and monitor production database servers
Work with development teams to test needed Microsoft service packs/hotfixes for SQL Server prior to updating production database servers
Applying SQL Server updates and upgrades to production database servers
Apply application updates and upgrades to production environments ofr applications supported
Work with Network Support Team for capacity planning on production database servers
Develop customizations to Onyx and custom applications as required
Ensure applications and databases comply with Company policies and standards
Requirements:
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database systems including SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, Transact-SQL, stored procedures, DTS packages/SSIS, triggers, views, performance monitoring, administration (backups, viewing SQL logs, managing jobs, managing users roles and permissions)
Strong understanding of application design and development principles, including source code management, code promotion, and security management
Experience with the following programming languages/platforms: AJAX, ASP, ASP.NET, C++, C#, Javascript, PHP, Perl, Visual Basic, XML, XSLT.
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong technical documentation skills
Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
Willingness to work outside normal hours for troubleshooting, emergency support, and system maintenance tasks
