Responsibilities:
The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for ensuring that measures are in place to enable the organization to continue to provide critical services to clients in the face of serious disruption. This includes:
Development and maintenance of an overall framework for Business Continuity Planning;
Development, implementation and maintenance of Crisis Communications Plans;
Facilitation and support for development, implementation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans at the organization, site and business level;
Facilitation and support for development, implementation and maintenance of Occupant Emergency Plans for each site;
Ensuring Disaster Recovery (DR) Plans are in place for all sites and Information Systems Contingency Plans (ISCP) are in place for all critical systems.
Define overall approach and structure of Business Continuity planning via the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Master Plan.
Directly responsible for creation, implementation and maintenance of Crisis Communication Plans;
Jointly accountable for the development, implementation and maintenance of Occupant Emergency Plans for each site;
Jointly accountable for the development, implementation, maintenance and regular testing of Business Continuity Plans for each site;
Ensure ICT department has up to date DR plans for each site and conducts regular testing and preventative maintenance activity.
Key Working Relationships:
Reports directly to the General Manager, ICT;
Works closely with senior management at the site and business level to develop, implement and maintain plans;
Works closely with ICT department to ensure DR plans and ISCP are in place;
Works with external service providers as required to ensure plans are in place.
Requirements:
Experience
At least 8 years experience performing program management, project management or related activities in a commercial environment, ideally with a focus on IT;
Successful track record in managing projects or programs which involve multiple stakeholders and contributors from different internal and external departments;
Exposure to process design or improvement, ideally via a structured approach such as Six Sigma;
Working knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning would be well regarded..
Qualificationsand Education
Bachelor degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline;
Formal training in project management would be well regarded;
Formal training in process improvement or quality management, for example Six Sigma, CPOC would be well regarded.

A strong and confident leader able to get the best results from a broad spectrum of people;
Well organized with a structured, disciplined approach to completing assignments;
Strong business acumen with a good understanding of how to get results in complex organizations;
High standard of both written and verbal communication (English essential);
Self-critical with a good sense of humour.
