Position Details:
Sten-Tel is seeking to add two Applications Developers. This is a fulltime salary position in our Springfield MA office. Qualified candidates would join the IT Department and work under the direction of the Director of IT and the Senior Applications Developers. Work would include the development of web applications and services, as well as client based applications. As an example, current and future development areas of concentration:
• Conversion of inline SQL to stored procedures
• SQL report writing
• UI design and improvement
• Creation of .NET client applications
Experience:
- Dedicated team oriented candidate with 2 to 5 years experience in the development of Windows and web applications and services using Microsoft technologies.
- Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate good coding practices and adherence to industry standards.
Technical Skills:
- An in depth understanding of .NET, ASP, SQL, VB, XML/XSLT and web services is required.
- Candidates should have a strong knowledge of SQL. A thorough understanding of Microsoft Office, IIS, VS.NET, and SQL Server 2000 is recommended.
Skills:
- Should be a good communicator, able to work well in an team environment and demonstrate an aptitude to learn and grow. Able to work well under direction but also to take initiative and perform above expectations.
Details: This is an excellent position with great growth potential. The salary is commensurate with experience, with a starting range of $40 to $60k. The company also offers health insurance, paid parking, and a flexible work schedule and a friendly open environment.
