WiderThan is the technology provider behind SK Telecom's CDMA2000 IxEV-DO-based commercial mobile services. The high rate of data transmission the CDMA2000 IxEV-DO possesses (2.45 Mbps) is generally considered third generation mobile telecommunications technology. And with WiderThan's technological expertise, Korea has become the first country in 2002 to commercialize EV-DO based services, drawing global acclaim and recognition.

Concurrently WiderThan collaborates with other international and domestic mobile Internet related companies to promote and expand the mobile Internet, and has been busy making inroads into the global market. Turn-key technology solutions and mobile Internet platforms have been successfully exported to Orange, an operator based in Israel. And WiderThan, together with SK Telecom, also supplied overseas carriers with COLORing®, WiderThan's unique ringback tone solution. The company actively seeks to combine resources with, and export to countries in Europe and Southeast Asia, the United States, and China.
