Ventaja International Corporation (VIC) was incorporated in March 2004 as subsidiary of Advantage Products Corporation (APC). APC started operations in December 1997 as a distributor of phonecards. APC is recognized as an industry leader having pioneered various business models from retailing via vending machines to electronic distribution in bank ATMs and retail on electronic pins in voucher form through gas stations and convenience outlets. APC’s volume turnover in 2003 exceeded P1.2 billion.

3rd Quarter of 2003 APC began selling overseas using its proprietary software and e-commerce applications. Since the business has grown considerably, APC spun off all of its export business into Ventaja International (VIC).

VIC has already expanded its business operations through distributors, resellers and agents in the following countries; Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Italy, UK, Spain, Switzerland, Middle East and USA. We utilized various software platforms to deliver prepaid loads. Instead of sending plastic cards since the value of the cards is in the PIN, this information is delivered in encrypted format to anywhere in the world where it is then printed on secured vouchers. Another innovation is Autoload/eLoad/ExpressLoad Ventaja system is directly connected to Smart, Globe and Suncellular. Their system can load cellphones from anywhere in the world through the web portal at https://www.remitload.com.

VIC made these services and product available to the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Filipinos leaving abroad as means to send back load to their relatives and friends in the Philippines and to keep their Globe and Smart roaming sim service active while abroad.

Ventaja is an accredited distributor and electronic system provider for the three major telecoms company in the Philippines Globe, Smart/PLDT and Suncellular.
