SOLNiX also provides a wide range of network solutions ranging from firewall servers, VPN servers, IDS servers, SAN servers, Intranet servers, Web servers, mail servers and database servers with special emphasis on security and reliability catering to the needs of small to medium sized businesses. SOLNiX also provides specialized network solutions such as RAS servers, bandwidth management solutions and subscriber management solutions for ISPs, WISPs, hotels & other organizations. Linux and other proven open source software such as Apache, MySQL, PHP & many more play a central and strategic role in all SOLNiX solutions, thereby providing our customers with additional value by way of increased robustness, reliability, performance and stability along with a higher ROI due to significant savings on licensing costs. SOLNiX has been actively creating high quality *Network Solutions* since its inception in 2000 as a FingerTip Solutions' enterprise solutions wing. The *Telephony Solutions* were added in 2004 to cater to the growing demand for such solutions. In order to better focus on its core functions, SOLNiX has now been promoted as an independent enterprise.

The primary activity at SOLNiX is to develop next-generation network and telephony solutions. The solutions developed are of a generic nature, although they may be customized to the requirements of a particular installation. Thus the research and development (R&D) on current and new solutions remains an ongoing process. The core R&D team at SOLNiX consists of a small group of experts in their respective fields.
