specializes in Voice over IP technology (VoIP). Its next generation network has presence in London, New York, Miami and Saudi Arabia. These points of presence are connected to several of their direct routes to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, and North America. MAI VoIP network will interface with legacy networks as well as other VoIP networks.
Founded in 2000, Mid Atlantic International, Inc. (MAI) is the leader in advanced Internet-based voice
communications. MAI delivers toll quality international voice services and provides the infrastructure for hosted communications solutions, including calling cards, messaging and speech-enabled content.
The company's customers include many of the largest enterprises and carriers in the world, including AT&T, Cable & Wireless, WorldCom, and Sprint. The MAI Network is one of the largest international Cisco Powered Network for Internet Telephony. Currently, MAI is seeking relationships with Internet
providers and global carriers who will join a growing community of Tier 1 carriers that has chosen to
connect to MAI for international long distance voice over internet service.
MAI growth in traffic from internet companies and voice carriers, who collectively control the vast majority
of the world's voice traffic, reflects the larger telecommunications technology shift identified by industry consultants Frost & Sullivan, who recently predicted that 75% of global voice traffic will be Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) by 2007.
