The Camarines Sur Medical Transcription Center (CSMTC) was instituted in early 2002 by Governor Luis R. Villafuerte as the first ever government owned and controlled medical transcription center in the Philippines.

The company was established to address the growing need for medical transcription outsourcing by providing quality service at affordable rates and to serve as an avenue for additional job opportunities for qualified residents of the province. In fulfillment of its commitment, the company has commissioned only the most qualified and highly competent medical transcribers with at least two (2) years of work experience in medical transcription, educated in the fields of Physical Therapy and Nursing. CSMTC is a member of the Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines, Inc. (MTIAPI).

CSMTC currently specializes in transcribing all kinds of medical reports such as Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, and Oncology. Work templates include ER Notes, Progress Notes, Chart Notes, Discharge Summaries, Consultation, Evaluation Notes, Therapy Notes, etc. Work volume capacity is 3,000 to 4,000 lines with a turn around time of 12 hours and accuracy rate of 98.5%.
