LASEMA SPA
Lasema Jjim Jil Bang Spa is the first Koreaninspired family-oriented spa in Metro Manila. Jjim Jil Bang or "Korean Bath House" offers multi-leisure health facilities and amenities like the Misty Sauna and Shower, Jacuzzis (Ginseng Hot, Green Tea Hot, Hinoki, and Cold), Dry Saunas (Oak and Clay, Salt and Charcoal and Dome Clay Sauna), Wet Area, Sleeping Caves, and common rest areas equipped with audio-visual System. There's also a gym, an Internet cafe and a restaurant (Jewel in the Palace), Meeting Room (maximum of 20 pax), Smoking Area, and Kiddie Room. The facilities are designed separately for men and women. Be forewarned, though. If you are not used to seeing bare skin, don't be surprised to see spa clients walking around the spa naked.
Lasema Spa is open 24 hours a day and you can enjoy all its facilities for 12 hours. Lockers and an electronic key, which serves as your credit card inside the spa, will be provided to customers.
Among the must-try is the Ice Room where you'll experience how it's like being inside a freezer! Sitting there for several minutes claims to help muscles, tendons, bones, nerves, and other tissues to recover especially after a workout. Staying much longer will ease fatigue, heaviness of legs, and tiredness.
The Mist Room or steam room, on the other hand, expels different extract of herbs that one can smell while in the room. The room has two hot Jacuzzis, the Ginseng Hot and Green Tea Hot, and Hinoki Cold. These herbal baths relax and stimulate the body. The natural herbs gently exfoliate the skin and soften dead skin cells.
Lasema also boasts of its dry sauna, the Oak and Clay, which is good for the prevention of topical dermatitis as well as the prevention of flu and relief from asthma. The Salt and Charcoal treatment is said to help clear up skin disorders such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. The Dome Clay Sauna, on the other hand, is made up of Chungito, a porous mud that quickly scatters heat. Its high-alkali content is believed to release energy in the form of negative ions. This miracle mud exudes a flowery scent and its warmth promotes relaxation. You may also try the Dae Mi Di and feel better with this Korean-styled body scrub.
After this heavenly treat, you may take a rest in Lasema's sleeping caves adorned with gemstones that help promote good relaxation and meditation. Then, treat yourself to sumptuous meals at its Korean restaurant inside the spa called The Jewel in the Palace, a name inspired by GMA-7's hit Koreanovela of the same name.
